Memorial Service at the U.S. Military Academy West Point Jewish Chapel
Sunday May 5, 2013 11 am, sponsored by the American Veterans of Israel Legacy Corporation.

Paul Silverstone will make a brief tribute to Aliyah Bet veterans of the clandestine ships that brought Holocaust survivors out of Europe to Israel.

Guest speakers will include Ambassador Ido Aharoni, Consul General of Israel in New York, and Dr. Ruth Gruber, eminent writer and journalist.   The Comemmoration will conclude with a graveside ceremony honoring Col. David ‘Mickey’ Marcus.

Mr. Silverstone give a talk on "Aliyah Bet" at the Jewish Genealogical Society Conference to be held in Las Vegas.

Mr. Silverstone has been named a member of the Monitor Scholars Advisory Committee of The Mariners Museum, Newport News, Virginia. This is in connection with the exhibit of the USS Monitor at the museum now being created centered around the turret and other artifacts taken from the ocean floor last year.
